Cookie Policy
Effective date: March 9, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Verifa ("we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website or use our services.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your web browser. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, remember your preferences, and provide information to site owners. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage.
2. Cookies We Use
We use only cookies that are strictly necessary for the operation of our services. We do not use advertising, tracking, or third-party analytics cookies.
| Cookie | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| vk_org_token | Authentication — keeps you signed in to the Verifa dashboard | Strictly necessary | 8 hours |
| vk_admin_token | Authentication — keeps administrators signed in to the admin panel | Strictly necessary | 2 hours |
| vk_csrf | Security — protects against cross-site request forgery attacks | Strictly necessary | Session |
All authentication cookies are set with the HttpOnly flag (not accessible to JavaScript), the Secure flag (only sent over HTTPS), and SameSite=Lax to prevent cross-site attacks.
3. Cookies We Do Not Use
We do not use:
- Advertising cookies — we do not serve ads or participate in ad networks
- Third-party analytics cookies — we do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or similar tracking services
- Social media cookies — we do not embed social media widgets that set cookies
- Cross-site tracking cookies — we do not track your activity across other websites
4. Verification Flow
The identity verification capture flow (the page where applicants photograph their ID and take a selfie) does not set any cookies. Session state is managed via the unique verification token in the URL. No persistent data is stored on the applicant's device.
5. Local Storage
The Verifa dashboard may use browser local storage to save non-sensitive UI preferences such as sidebar state or theme selection. No personal information or authentication tokens are stored in local storage.
6. Managing Cookies
Since we only use strictly necessary cookies, disabling them may prevent you from signing in to the Verifa dashboard or admin panel. You can manage cookies through your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Cookies and site data
7. Changes to This Policy
If we introduce new types of cookies (for example, analytics), we will update this policy and notify users before setting those cookies. The "Effective date" at the top indicates when this policy was last revised.
